I have been a noted hairstylist for many years in upstate NY. About ten years ago, I was sitting in my salon thinking about my life and began counting all the blessings in my life. I had worked on famous models and singers, traveled worldwide, great friends and obtained anything I wanted. Still, I felt somehow I had missed something important along the way. It wasn't clear to me how I was able to obtain all these things nor why. It was a lot for a person who had been told, "you would never amount to anything" (so many times, I'm surprised it didn't become my motto) to understand.

Through all of that, I had a pen in one hand and an un-opened letter in the other. I began to right down words in my head. I had no idea those words would become my first song ever ("Never Untrue.") I shared those lyrics with a friend who was an aspiring solo artist. She loved them and encouraged me to continue writing. A friend, Earnest Cole had introduced me to engineers who produced the first score of music for the track. It was magic! When asked, "To whom are you going to shop the song to?" My response was "The Emotions!" They're my favorite group. Not thinking it would come to past. It did! I shared my ideas with a friend on the West Coast. He said, "I'll call you back." An hour or so later, he had a number and address. It was a direct contact with the groups lead singer (Wanda Vaughn). I submitted the track, did a follow up call, received great feedback, was encouraged to continue writing and warmly declined. ? Still, I was on a high! How many people have the chance to meet, talk to and have their songs heard by their favorite artist?

I no longer questioned how or why. I knew I'd been blessed with hidden talents from a higher being! I began to understand how connected we all are. No one comes into your life just by chance. I continued to write and build my songwriting catalog. I had gained a clearer understanding of how the music industry worked. I was also aware that the timing was not right for my writing talents. I was often encouraged by some to change my style of writing. A good friend told me "always be true to and trust your self." I've been just that! I think every songwriter wants to right the next "big hit." At one point, I was no different. Still, I refused to compromise my skills. I'm a strong believer that everything has their place in time. This is mine!

Later on, I met and started dating someone in the theatrical realm. I'm blessed to know some of Broadways finest talents along with those of my music partner Thierry Dejean. With wonderful vocalists, his musical talents and my lyrics, the Stars on Broadway "Never Alone" CD was developed! The Stars on Broadway "Never Alone" CD is designed to help bridge the gap between the theatre community and the music industry. It's also developed with the desire of giving back! A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD continue going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. I've also started my own company "LOVEBEAMS INC." It's no longer about fortune or fame. It's about sharing my blessings. It's also about making a difference in someone else life, be it through my lyrics or deeds. The Stars on Broadway "Never Alone" CD is doing just that. We are also being blessed with Radio airplay rotation! Never stop dreaming, for NOTHING is impossible!
